A Slumber Party in South Texas

Hi Ya'll !!! This is TEXAbeth! I guess I will start this but I have many missing pieces so I'm gonna get everybody to add their own recollections!! hehe

This all started because Imx had an airplane ticket he needed to use up and he couldn't remember what the sun looked like. He asked if he could come visit and get out of Seattle for a weekend. We picked the weekend in February where Washington's Birthday fell and most people didn't have to work. He was worried what everybody would think in OW about him coming down so we decided to open it up to anybody who wanted to come had an invite. The first time we mentioned it on the screen Likey jumped right on it and that got the ball rollin'.

That Friday afternoon Imx was the first one landing at the airport. We jumped in the car to get to the house and I ummmm, got distracted talkin' and kinna had us going to San Antonio!! Hehe  I pulled off the freeway and Imx turned us around and got us safely to the house. GJ was already here and was waiting patiently in his car. We ran into the house and I quickly showed them around. GJ had his WVRR show starting soon and I had to jet back to the airport. Oh,,,,a call on the answering machine. RabidWolf hadn't even left the Boston airport. Not a good thang!! He was suppose to be landing here in two hours.

I get to the airport in time and greet Likey, SeeRay and a white knuckled Splitenz. He doesn't care to fly much so he just combined this trip to also his moving to Chattanooga. We all go out and smoke while we wait for the bags and I hear about a memorable flight they had. We finally jump into the Pathfinder. Likey and I are busy catchin' up on stuff and I kinna drift off into another lane on the freeway BUT I do have us going in the right direction this time. I made a SLIGHT lane adjustment and Splitzal hollers out " Oh Come On!!!!! "  I look back to see that SeeRay and Splitenz have now put their seatbelts on and have very worried looks on their face.

We safely arrive and all pile out and the phone has been ringing off the wall we are told. Yep,,,Wolfie is still in Boston so we are on standby to get him at the airport and Mack is an hour away by car. Likeys phone is constantly ringing. I hear somethang about Imx and GJ going through my underwear drawers. I check but they aren't wearing any of it yet.

Splitzal fixs the mic so now we have taken over WVRR for the night!! It ended up being a marathon. There is a liquor store run and Mack arrives. The party has begun. I break out the appetizers with Imx and Splitzals help. Its not lookin' good for Wolfie. Purdy calls and talks to everybody. I would have hated to see that phone bill. Likey and I run to get air mattresses for the guys to sleep on and get a video. We come back and the house is still standing and the bar has been broken in for sure now. Imx has cooked the chicken and I kinna sorta start the King Ranch Chicken between line recordings and sips of chardonnay. KANE arrives and we are finally all together except for poor RabidWolf. He has spent the day in the Boston airport and is now on his way back home. The guys have started a plan to sneak over to the neighbors swimming pool. The alcohol is working. We finally sit down at some ungodly hour to eat dinner,,,actually I think it was closer to breakfast time. We have lost track of how many hours WVRR has been on now. KANE takes over while we eat. I vaguely remember that the guys had Likey and me in tears over dinner. Splitzal was tellin' a story about a mirror over Likey's toilet and something about "Objects appearing larger then they are". You figure it out!

After dinner everybody starts finding their crash spots. GJ blows up his air mattress and some how he looses it because I gave it to Mack. GJ doesn't have enough energy to blow another one up so he sleeps on the floor in his sleeping bag. Splitzal also lost his new flannel pj's after I ran off with them and I even accidentally locked him out of the house when he went to jump on the trampoline. One Gallon of Crown Royal has bit the dust and we are finally off WVRR.

Saturday morning comes and goes without me until late afternoon. I finally awake to the music blasting in the entertainment center the guys put together and Likey is answering e-mail between her phone calls in the Sunroom. Mack is dressed like Hugh Hefner and SeeRay is jumping on the trampoline while talking on the phone outside. GJ and Splitzal and I get into a hot game of Yahtzee and we start deciding about dinner. We decide to go out and everybody starts getting ready. Mack takes the longest showers!!! Thank Goodness I have two water heaters!! A seafood restaurant is decided on and we go pile into the cars. Splitzal begs Imx to drive my car and SeeRay begs Mack to take his truck so he doesn't have to drive with me. I gladly relinquish the keys to Imx and we are off. We get to the restaurant and have to wait awhile so we play tourist and then go to the bar. Finally we get a table and get a really cool waitress. She looks at us funny when we tell her our names and she checks out Splitzals enz!! She thinks he just needs conditioner. We leave with a key lime pie in tow.

Back at the house we start a round of "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus".  We are short one girl so Splitzal volunteers to get in touch with his feminine side and play on the girl's team. Girls lose so I guess he didn't do too well. I do remember some bizarre answers like the (d. the tuna sandwich under the bus driver's seat.) Just guess who added that one! We then get into a deep discussion on which way the toilet paper should pull. Who says these trips aren't educational!?! Mack goes and fixes them the way he says they should be. While he's asleep, Splitzal changes them back.

Sunday comes and I get up right after Imx to listen to his WVRR show while everybody else sleeps. I can't even begin to describe the group snoring I heard walkin' through the house!! I had no idea you could actually snore THAT loud!! They were all shocked to find me up so early when they finally got up!!! The big screen TV gets put on in the family room and bodies are everywhere watching "The Blair Witch Project". I watch with one eye closed. We then start playing with the pay per view and some shark movie comes on with the surround sound bouncing off the walls. Likey wants to watch the movie so she hands me the last part of her WVRR show and I have now become a DJ. Imx decides he's gonna cook lasagna for dinner so we run to the store and come back and get busy cooking. Likeys back in e-mail and some scary movie comes on next. I find a bottle of Rothschild wine to drink with dinner and the guys successfully break the cork and we have to strain it! LOL  Dinner is awesome and again we are back on things appearing larger then they are in the mirror. Go Figure!!! We now get into a deep discussion on which way the silverware should be put in the dishwasher. Mack puts them in his way and I change them back when he isn't looking. After clean-up we do a bunch of "Mad libs"  that become very ummmm,,,,well lets just say that R rating might be too tame! A real good one had Jack and Jill in it and they were.....ummmm...can't share anymore!! hehe

Monday finally comes way to fast and I get woken up by Splitzal steamrolling me in my bed to get me up. Its getting time to take them to the airport. KANE, GJ and Mack get going and Imx straightens up the house while I take Likey, SeeRay and Splitzal to the airport. I am shocked that the house is still standing when I get back and it really didn't look like much of anythang abnormal happened at all !!!! The neighbors are still talkin' about it,,,,,Dang !! I told those guys NOT to go out in the front yard! LOL
What a GREAT group of people to have a slumber party with!!!!
