Wow, what a fun time... After a whirlwind visit, I am back home, and even made it in one piece.
(Though, I did have a back tire explode at 85 mph, sending me careening around the highway, in traffic,
and skidding off the road in a cloud of gravel and dust... I don't recommend that experience to anyone... I was stranded on the side of the freeway for about 3 hours during the hottest part of the day (spare tire
was flat!) in a section of the world not known for ummm scenic beauty, or colors....(central Washington... yuck!)))!)))
The small part of the RT that I got to experience has indelibly left a mark on my
psyche. I'll never again be able to talk to any of the most excellent people who were there without seeing their faces, and hearing their voices (and yeah Ley, maybe even smelling their sweat! heh...) Meeting all of
these people in person was a total affirmation of the quality of friends I have made in OW. Wonderful people, for sure!
I want to thank all of the people at the RT for putting up with me, and welcoming me
into such a wonderful experience, and hope that I'll be invited the next time!
And for all the people that didn't go to the RT this year, for whatever reason, I can relate, and understand, and just hope that
you'll keep trying, year after year... I know I will!
