The bar
attracted folks from all over the world. Slowly at first there would be maybe one or two people ordering drinks and playing the jukebox. Once in a while a sound of ice clinking and a beer opening could be heard.
As the night grew more boisterous the sound of breaking glass could be heard as well.
The Tiki Hut had two residents that called it home. A puffin bird and a mouse. The Puffin lived on the bar and the mouse sat on
a rail at the back of the bar.
The regulars grew used to having a Puffin bird and a mouse in the bar so they named the two animal buddies Puffin A. Cigar, ESQ. & Jake. These two animals were just as much a part
of the family as the human cyber visitors.
These humans had so much fun at the Tiki Hut that one Sunday afternoon a small group decided it was time to meet for real.
Nashville was the place the meeting would take
place due to it being a central (sort of) location.
Puffin and Jake knew that if they wanted to go they would have to seek out one and only one for assistance. As luck would have it one rather loud night Puffin
sought out Red Janis as the human to help. “Janis ya got to help us” he pleaded and Janis being in just the right frame of mind (after2 of Admiral Scotty’s famous secret scotch stash and a couple of Ripples even more
infamous Double Puffin specialty drinks) she agreed.
Now this was not as easy as Janis thought it would be. She lived in a very large city full of wonderful stores and other exotic places. Surely she could find
what Puffin & Jake required for them to follow their friends into reality and go to the magical place called Nashville.
She searched the “golden coast” and traveled to the famous castles filled with fantastic
treasures but alas to no avail.
Time was growing scarce when she found an out of the way neighborhood that had an air of intrigue. She sought out the neighborhood toy maker and they searched out all the books and
resources at hand. Low and behold there was a chance that Janis could help Puffin and Jake. Only time being against her, she paid the shopkeeper and went home to wait for news.
The time to leave approached quickly
and Janis was getting quite anxious when she got a message from the toy maker that the magic vessel had arrived. Janis rushed to the toyshop and brought the precious object home.
Janis had very little time to
prepare her friends for the voyage to Nashville. She re-packed her bags so that her companions could travel in comfort and headed off to Nashville.
The group met and had a wonderful time spending real time
together, telling stories and just being together. Puffin and Jake had so much fun that they never wanted to leave the groups meeting room. Time was short for the group and before they knew it, it was time to leave
for their homes.
Puffin and Jake had to return with Janis so that the magic could return them to their cyber homes.
Unfortunately due to an unmentionable incident with a stewardess on the flight home, Puffin has
been banned from using commercial airlines for a time. Jake being the smarter of the two is at work getting the ban overturned.
Puffin A Cigar Esq., was given a job by Red Janis welcoming people to her home in
Imagica AW 10N 45E.
