OuterWorlds Celebrates Memorial Day 2002

Memorial Day is the semi-official start of the ‘Summer’ season for many in the United States.
It is now OK to take out your summer stuff, and to wear white shoes and accessories again!

We celebrate this year with
Fun Run and Dance Contests
where you can win Prizes!

Fun Run
Find the objects, decipher the ‘story’, and email the answer
Saturday May 26^th - starts at 4:00pm VRT
Prizes to Win!

There will be 50 items hidden
among 5 OuterWorlds WORLDS,
KampOW, Lagoon, OW, Party, and TheBank
On each of the 50 items will be words to a story and the coordinates of the object.

To complete the Fun Run you must
find all 50 items,
put the story together, and include the coordinates for each item you find
Then, email your answers to SpecialEvents@outerworlds.com
And be sure to make “FunRun” the subject!

NOTES:

• At the start of the Memorial Day Fun Run you will be shown what the objects are that you need to find in each of the 5 worlds
• The correct objects to find will identify themselves as Fun Run items and have coordinates in them. You must copy the coordinates and what the object is and in which world it was found.
• An e-mail to Specialevents@outerworlds.com should be sent as soon as you have found all objects in each of the 5 worlds. That means a list of 50 object names and coordinates and the world name.
• The winners will be posted. The first correct list received will be the winner and the second will be the runner-up.

Please Note:
Memorial Day in the United States was initially begun as a remembrance of those who died in the Civil War. Many former Confederate States commemorate on other days. It has over the intervening years become a national holiday, and has come to include World Wars I and II, Korea and Viet Nam, and now I am sure will include September 11, 2001. Many other countries have similar holidays. Please take a moment to remember all those lost in the many conflicts in the world, be they soldiers or civilians. And hope, pray and work for peace. — RW
