Object List Tools
Avatars.dat
GUI
This program helps world owners to organize their avatars.dat which
is in their object paths' avatars folder. It provides a graphical interface
for adding avatars and sequences and will even zip up your file to make the
required avatars.zip. It's a must for anyone who updates their avatars often.
Path Indexer
This
tool is for creating hyperlinked lists of your objects, models, textures and
sequences. It can be useful for providing a builders list or if you have a custom
object path that you want to share with other people.
Scripts
Fetch Script
A web script
in PHP which expands the objects available to builders. For a start it provides
a replacement object, or texture if not found. How many of you have lost an
object that was a dud? Well now you can have a big blinking board if you want
when you just can't find that wee triangle. That's just the start though...
you can create objects on the fly. Allow your visitors to resize your objects
themselves and even create simple shapes on the fly using a code. Builders can
download this calculator
to make the code. Please note that since the script is in PHP you'll need a
PHP enabled web server to run it. Outerworlds servers are not PHP enabled.
Font Script
This
script allows you to use different fonts in your sign objects. It's in PHP so
you'll need an enabled web server to run it.
Clock Script
You can create
a VRT clock in your world that updates every minute. You'll need PHP to run
it. You can put a texture as the background.
Path Listing
This
script simply creates a list of all your models, textures and sounds. This is
a PHP script.
Bots
World Monitoring
Bot
This bot allows you to monitor who is in your world and creates logs
about it. You can also monitor other worlds and you don't even need bot rights
in the world. However if you want visitor lists you'll need to log the bot in
and if the world is bigger than a p20 then it needs caretaker rights so it can
login with global mode. It can also send and receive emails so if you're monitoring
another persons world they can just email your bot and get a log back about
their world. Very useful for people running more than one world.
Xelagot
Xelagot
has it's own built in language so you can create scripts that do just about
anything. On the Xelagot pages you'll find links to checkers and chess boards
as well as paintball and a few other scripts. Once you learn the scripting language
your world is literally your oyster.
